Quilting Basics #2
Capacity: Not Set (0% booked)
Saturday, April 13th and Sunday April 14th; 10:30am - 4:30pm
Description: In this class students will make either a baby or lap quilt. We will continue where we left off in Quilting Basics #1 (Intro to Quilting.) We will make 2 different block patterns, a 9-patch and a "snowball" block. These 2 patterns are very common in quilting and are used to make a number of different quilt designs. Fabric requirements are different for either a baby or a lap quilt so we will talk about that and cut our fabric in the first class. We will also start sewing on the first day after cutting our fabric. On the second day we will continue sewing. If you are making a baby size quilt you should have plenty of time to finish your quilt. If you are making the lap size quilt you may not finish the entire quilt in class. We will only do the piecing in this class and will then send our quilts out to be quilted and bound by a long arm quilter of your choice.
